8. --And be it further enacted and ordained, That the several Superior Officers of said Court, who now are, or hereafter may be apporated to their said Offices by Hier jesty, Her Heirs audi Successors, shall hold their several Offices during the pleasure- Her said Majesty, subject to suspension by The Governor, in lise manner as other Beers in the said olony; and that all other superior Officers, appointed with the probution of The Governor as aforesaid, shall be removable from their several Offices the said Court by The Governor, upou reasonable cause.

9. And be it further enacted and ordained, That the said Supreme Court of ongkong is her by authorized and enipowered, to approve, admit, and enrol such, aud many persons having been admited Barristers at Law, or Advocates in Great Britam nd Ireland, to Act as Barristers and Advocates; or having been admitted Vriters, tornies, or Soifciturs, in one of the Courts at Westminster, Dublin, or Edinburgh, having been admined as Proctors in any Ecclesiastical Court in England, to Act in e character of Proctors, Attornies, and Soli-itors in the said Court; and which persons approved, admitted, and enrolled as aforesaid, sitali be, and are hereby authorized to spear, and plead, and act, in their several respective characters, for the suitors of the said burt, subject always to be removed by the said ourt, from their respective stations erein, upon reasonable cause and it is hereby further enacted and ordained, that no her person or persons whatsoever shall be allowed to appear, and plead, or act in the id Supreme Court of Hongkong for, and on behalf of such suitors, or any of them.

10. And be it further enacted and ordained, Toat in cas: there shall not be a ¡fficient number of such Barristers at Law, Advocates, Writers, Attornies, Solicitors, Proctors wahin the said Colony, competem and willing to appear, and art for the sitors of the said Court, then, and in that case, the said Supreme Court of Hongkong salt, and is hereby authorized to admit tensprentily so many other fit and proper persous appear and Act as Barristers, Advocates, Practors, Attornies, and Solicitors as may necessary, according to such General Rules and Qualifications as the said Court hail, for that purpose, make and establish: Provided always. that the persons so
